Main Bet Payouts & House Edge
Speed Baccarat A follows the standard punto banco ruleset with one key modification: speed. Cards are shown face-up immediately and the dealing sequence executes without delay. Below is the complete official rule set and payout table.
- Player Bet: pays 1:1 — house edge 1.24%
- Banker Bet: pays 0.95:1 (5% commission) — house edge 1.06%
- Tie Bet: pays 8:1 — house edge 14.36%
- Player Pair side bet: pays 11:1
- Banker Pair side bet: pays 11:1
- Perfect Pair (suited): pays 25:1
- Either Pair: pays 5:1
The three core bets in Speed Baccarat A: Player hand wins pay 1:1 (house edge 1.24%). Banker hand wins pay 0.95:1 with 5% commission (house edge 1.06%). Tie pays 8:1 (house edge 14.36%). The optimal return-to-player (RTP) is 98.94% when consistently backing the Banker.
Third-Card Drawing Rules (Tableau)
Natural rule: if either hand totals 8 or 9 from the first two cards, no further cards are drawn. Player draws a third card if two-card total is 0–5; stands on 6 or 7. When Player stands, Banker draws on 0–5 and stands on 6–7. When Player draws, Banker uses a fixed tableau based on both Banker total and Player third card value.
Shoe and Deck Rules
Speed Baccarat A is dealt from a shoe containing eight standard 52-card decks — 416 cards total. A cut card placed near the end triggers reshuffling after the current hand is completed. All outcomes are determined purely by the cards and fixed tableau rules.
